So as you probably know, or don’t, I recently sold the Cadillac for a rental spec Impala. This brings cloth seats back into my life. Something I have not had for some time. Not because im too fancy for cloth, but rather im too messy for them. I’ve been shopping for good seat covers but haven’t found ones yet. So naturally the misses had to go an do this:

I dunno how she managed this. Yes we smoke and yes we smoke in our cars... but she was sitting in that seat the whole time? How i ask you how?? But i digress... whats done is done and im only more eger to find good seat covers.

So my question is, has any one ever bought seat covers they liked and if so what brand where they? I want good fitted seat covera not sloppy univetsal fit, if possible.

Don’t smoke; haven’t needed ‘em. Quit smoking, and you won’t, either.

In other news, I think all manufactured seat covers suck, though my neighbor bought some made of neoprene , think: wetsuit material, and they looked good and durable.

Rental spec Impala: that’s how I’d go, though I’d probably try and buy a two-year-old Impala from a private individual. If I had the dough. Which I don’t.

Smoking is bad. Do yourselves (and the planet) a favor and quit.

This has been a public service announcement delivered with nothing but positive intent, buy a fellow Oppo who was not asked for it.

I have had a worn-out fuzzy wool seat cover in my Benz since I got it. It is great and massagemates mah bunz.

right right. don’t smoke.. working on that. but smoking aside burns WERE the least of my concerns till this happened. I’m just messy in general.

I’ve heard positive things about Wet Okle seat covers. Not sure how they stand up to cig burns though.

well cig burns are not normal. I haven’t had an issue in years with that, still no f’ing clue how she got a burning cig under her ass and didn’t notice... needless to say she is now paying for the seat covers.

There have to be about two billion of these rental spec Impalas at breakers' yards across this great nation. Think you could just find a replacement seat? Or is the ongoing threat of cig burns too much to risk?

I’d only go this route for a leather upgrade. Lots of work just to replace what I got with the same. I’m not too upset by the burn, just want to prevent any more in the future.
